It’s no surprise that Denver was named among the best cities, as all sorts of interesting events come our way. If you’re a comic enthusiast, you’ll be happy to know Denver Comic Con launches this May. Among the most popular Denver events, this year’s comic con is sure to please.
Guests of honor at the event include Colorado-native Dee Bradley Baker who has voiced characters for the critically acclaimed series Phineas and Ferb and other series such as Star Wars:The Clone Wars and SpongeBob SquarePants. George Takei of Star Trek fame will also be making an appearance. This year’s guest of honor is Stan Lee, creator of numerous characters for Marvel Comics including Spiderman.
The event will take place May 31 through June 2 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Tickets for Denver Comic Con can be purchased online and it should be noted that proceeds for the event will go towards after school programs that teach socio-economically disadvantaged children to read using comic books. Three-day passes for adults start at $50, teens 11-16 receive a discount and children under 10 are free.
Guests will have the opportunity to visit various panels, a video game room and have various photo-op and autograph opportunities.
