U.S. mortgage rates have hit all-time record lows, according to Freddie Mac. If you are thinking about buying a home in Denver, now is the time do so in order to take advantage of never-before-seen rates.
Last week, national rates for 30-year and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages were 4.12 percent and 3.33 percent, respectively. These are the lowest figures on record for Freddie Mac, which date back to 1971. The previous low for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.15 percent for the week of August 18th.
Although many other U.S. markets have not been so fortunate, Denver posted fantastic home sales numbers for August 2011. Closings jumped 29 percent from August 2010 to August 2011 and 3.6 percent from July 2011. Sales continue to remain strong in Denver, and many local buyers are taking advantage of these once-in-a-lifetime rates.
